A temperature logger also a temperature monitor devices, is a portable measurement instrument that is capable of autonomously recording temperature over a defined period of time. Now I will give more introduction to cold chain temperature monitoring devices.
The digital data can be retrieved, viewed and evaluated after it has been recorded. Some include other sensors such as relative humidity, wind, light, etc, others may record input from GPS devices which is commonly used to monitor shipments in a cold chain, called cold chain temperature monitoring devices.
For our cold chain temperature monitoring devices, we use a temperature sensor+ GPS. Our temperature sensor DS18B20 is a digital thermometer provides 9 to 12–bit centigrade temperature measurements which required an external power supply.
To make a cold chain temperature monitoring devices, we modified VT900/VT600 GPS devices input2 to temp sensor data wire, AD1 for temp sensor power supply output.
Connection wire as following:
Temp sensor 1-wire- VT600/VT900 input2
Temp sensor power cable- VT600/VT900 AD
Temp sensor GND cable- VT600/VT900 GND Cable
Eg: Correct temp value coming in COMTOOL
The temperature value for cold chain temperature monitoring devices is the decimal ASCII code, which is accurate to one decimal place. If it is a negative temperature, it is preceded by a negative sign, such as 28.3, -3.5.
Cold chain temperature monitoring devices, especially for temperature sensitive products such as foods, pharmaceuticals, and some chemicals are often monitored during shipment and logistics operations. Exposure to temperatures outside of an acceptable range, for a critical time period, can degrade the product or shorten shelf life. Regulations and contracts make temperature monitoring mandatory for some products.
